Countdown to Halloween!

Day Three

Daytime: You are a ghost, doomed to walk this Earth in misery. Tied to your emotions that will never let you rest. Obsessed and restless, there are too many unspoken words, too many things left undone. Bound to this world by your unfulfilled wishes, you walk unseen and unheard, but your presence can be felt.

'Tis time. Time to say what you've always wanted, to do what you've always wanted. Today is the day you must tell those closest to you how you really feel as if you will not see them again until their dying day. Today is the day you must think about all of the things you've always wanted to do, and begin to do them. Make a list. You cannot be seen or heard, only felt, so don't hold back and don't be scared. If you've always wanted to perform your music on stage or take an exercise class, now is the time to find a way to do so. Only when your ties to this world are broken can you move on.

Nighttime: Ghastly white to your fellow ghost friends, , invisible to others, it’s time to set the mood for Halloween as the countdown begins! Plenty of towns and cities have so called “haunted” areas or at least graveyards. So simply for the sake of getting into the spirit, paint your faces white and head to one of these haunted domains. Spend a good hour playing hide and seek in a graveyard, calling forth the dead, or finding out who can last the longest in a deserted building (be safe!).

Day Two

Daytime: You are a vampire. Opposite of a ghost, you are in no hurry to move forward because well—you’ve got all the time in the world. Bitten at the age you are now, your senses are so sharp that you are practically invincible. All the world to explore, all the ages to see come and go, all the people to meet, you must keep yourself alive with some sort of motivation right?

So if you could live forever, what would you do? Where would you go? You cannot be harmed with your vampiric skills so don’t hold back. People are your keys to new exciting journeys (that is, if you don’t suck their blood first) so keep that in mind.

Hobbies are necessary too. With infinite time, you can master any skill: drawing, painting, crafting, games, etc.

Start your list now. And get started. The longer you wait, the more you slip into a habit of putting these things off. Might as well start an eternity on a productive note: just imagine how wise and skilled you’ll be in 100 years!

Nighttime: Stretching after your restful day in the coffin (or perhaps you don’t sleep at all), you’re ready for an evening of fun. If you’re thirsty for blood, consider having a midnight picnic with your friends.

Whip up some bloody drinks of cranberry juice and raspberry sorbet and add some ice cubes shaped like hands if you wish. Set out a large blanket, possibly some candles, and dress like they did in the 1800s/1700s/even 1300s! Curl your hair if you’re a girl and wear heavy red and black makeup. Bring an ipod player with creepy piano or organ tunes. Or a music box! Go all out as you dine under the moonlight—just keep your thirst under control!

Day One

Daytime: You are a witch. An extremely skilled witch at that. While mortals go about their busy days, you enjoy practicing new spells and whipping up new potions: your specialty? Love potions. Some of your love potions bring warmth and joy to those who drink it. Others emit a romantic aura. Simply touching these bottles causes your stomach to flutter with butterflies.

Pulling out your most recent success—a deep fuchsia liquid in a clear diamond bottle—you are prepared to slip a few drops in the drink of your upcoming fascination. So what exactly will he/she in you after drinking the potion? In love with every aspect of you, every flaw, what about you brings out butterflies in others? Your laugh? Your eyes? Your personality?

You are across the table from yourself. So what do you see in you? If you can’t seem to think of much, then think about what you can change. What about you can make you more flattering? The love potion will make another see the most interesting aspects of you, so what are those aspects? Physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Nighttime: It’s the Eve of Halloween: time for a night of mischief. From flying on a broom, scavenging swamps for potion ingredients, and counting the stars to determine your future, you’re favorite activity is simply exploring and casting spells wherever you go. Gather your friends, dress in something witchy, and travel out to buy and carve some pumpkins. Look at the stars on top of a roof. Cast your magic to ignite some sparklers. Rescue a black cat. Learn some magic tricks and surprise people at a restaurant or party. Only one more day until Halloween!

Your future diary

You have just discovered how to travel through time, and in doing so, you found your diary from the future. After reading today's entry (a long entry about how you discovered time travel of course!), you turn the page to tomorrow's entry. There is only one sentence:

Today was the best day of my life :)

Get out a scratch sheet of paper or a sticky note. On it, write, "Today is going to be the best day of my life :)". Put it on your alarm clock so you see it the moment you wake up: you don't want to miss a single moment of the best day of your life by pressing snooze!

Even if your day starts out horribly, it's the best day, so don't get down. And even if it ends horribly, maybe your future self saw it in a different way: as one of the most important lessons and days you'll ever experience.

The objective is to keep in high spirits. When you're open to new opportunities, you'll be surprised how many seem to pass by you every day. And if things seem to be going normal as usual, spice it up and do something new. Since it's the best day, it's the perfect time to ask someone out on a date, try a new recipe, or plan a crazy activity with your friends.

Good days often deal with physical activity, good people, excitement, and a hint of nervousness so mix them all together and create your amazing day!
